Once you’ve bought something for everyone back home, you have to try to make it all fit in your suitcase. Then there’s the nightmare of airport security these days … my mother once was stopped at JFK airport in New York because she had packed a bag of Ahava Mineral Mud from the Dead Sea in her carry-on. On the security cameras, it looked like plastic explosives!
