Map of Jerusalem

Here you’ll find an online map of Jerusalem, and suggested Jerusalem maps – the old fashioned kind made of paper that you can actually take with you. (Click here to travel in time through ancient Jerusalem maps and the Madaba map - the oldest Jerusalem map ever discovered.)

This interactive map below shows the Old City, with the Temple Mount clearly visible left of center. Use the arrows in the top left corner to see more of Jerusalem. If you click on a specific site to see it more clearly, be sure to hit the Back button on your browser to come back to us when you're done.

Jerusalem Maps for Travelers

If you’re going to be walking around Jerusalem, however, that online map won’t be too handy to carry around with you, so you’ll want a foldable, portable one.

The Old City Tourism Information Office hands a beautiful free map of the Old City. The office is just inside Jaffa Gate, to your left. Just walk in and ask for it.

For any walking outside the Old City, however, I highly recommend the Streetwise pocket-size Jerusalem map, which focuses on the downtown area. The map is laminated – a great feature when you need to refer to it during lunch or while sitting at a café – and it folds up to the size of an envelope. My first few years here, I always kept one in my handbag.

If you plan on heading out of the city center and doing some more exploring, you might want something a little more complete and detailed, like Cartographia's Jerusalem City Map.
